A new call for adventure rang out in the mid-size SUV segment with the arrival of the new generation of the Nissan X-Trail, redesigned from the ground up to offer even more family freedom. Thanks to the new Alliance CMF-C platform, which showcases advanced engineering, innovation and technology, the new X-Trail again raises the bar in its segment. Nissan’s new X-Trail is structurally stiffer, more aerodynamically efficient, introduces a host of new active and passive safety features, features a revised cabin layout with premium features and materials, and introduces a range of new technical aids including ProPILOT and other standard additions to the Nissan Intelligent Mobility Suite. Sharing technical platforms with the larger Qashqai, the all-new model is slightly shorter than before (4680mm) but wider (+20mm to 1840mm), taller (+15mm to 1725mm) and offers more rear legroom, with larger opening rear door openings for easier rear entry and exit. The wheelbase remains unchanged at 2705 mm. A sleek full-LED front and rear lighting package with bright multi-reflector LEDs for high and low beams and wrap-around boomerang-shaped rear lighting complements Nissan’s distinctive V-Motion brand identity on all models. Adaptive Beam Matrix lighting, which splits the headlight beams into 12 individually controlled segments, appears on Ti and Ti-L models.
