A popular toy has been recalled amid fears it could cause serious injury to children.
Hasbro’s Elefun Flyers game was pulled off the shelves of major retailers just days before it was set to become a popular Christmas gift for kids.
The ACCC issued its recall notice for the game on December 15, warning that the small plastic disks that are thrown out of an elephant when children step on it can cause skin abrasions or bruising.
“The butterfly flyers can hit a child in the face,” the recall notice said.
No other Elefun games are affected by the recall, the ACCC confirmed.
The regulator urged consumers to return the toy to the place where it was purchased for a full refund.
