South Pacific private psychotherapist Diane Young has highlighted the signs of childhood trauma that people can watch out for.
She said depression and anxiety are an important sign, but childhood trauma often stems from a “low-level” interpersonal issue.
“General instability, not being able to settle down with our work or career, a feeling of low self-esteem or conversely it can be this feeling of grandiosity and over-control over everything in our lives,” Ms Young told Sky News Australia.
“Neediness, trust issues and passivity, with people very willing to agree.”
