Apple fixes iPhone 14 issue with software update: reports

Apple is reportedly releasing a new software update that will fix an issue causing horizontal lines to flash on the displays of some iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max models.

According to Forbes, the iOS 16.3 Release Candidate is now available, with tests showing that it fixes the issue and adds important new features.

The outlet previously cited an internal memo confirming that the tech giant was working on the issue and that “a software update is coming soon that will fix the problem.”

MacRumors reported Jan. 1, Apple’s memo states, customers may “report that they see brief horizontal flashes on the screen when they turn on or unlock their phone.”

Images shared from the website showed the thin, light horizontal lines on the black screen.

More issues were reported with the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, and Forbes reported on Wednesday that iOS 16.3 is expected to arrive next week.

This product is compatible with iPhone SE and later or iPhone 8 and later with iOS 16.3 or later.
