The rate and severity of cerebral palsy in Australia is now the lowest in the world

Professor Nadia Badawi of the Cerebral Palsy Alliance says newborns with cerebral palsy in Australia will most likely have a ‘milder’ form of the condition.

“Your child is more likely to walk, more likely to have a normal intellect,” Ms Badawi told Sky News Australia.

“But that doesn’t mean we don’t have a very long way to go.”
